Available Position
Compliance Counsel
The role focuses on providing legal guidance on international trade regulations, compliance governance, export controls, and corporate risk management across Aramco’s global business operations.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
- Provide legal advice on international trade and regulatory compliance.
- Support compliance with export controls, economic sanctions, customs regulations, and foreign investment requirements.
- Develop and improve internal compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct legal due diligence for acquisitions, financing projects, and new business opportunities.
- Design and implement international trade risk management programs.
- Deliver compliance training to employees and business leaders.
- Monitor regulatory developments and recommend policy updates.
- Manage external legal counsel and cross-functional compliance projects.
- Support global subsidiaries and joint ventures on trade compliance matters.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (Master’s or Juris Doctor preferred).
- Admission to practice law in their home jurisdiction.
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience in a leading law firm or multinational corporation.
- Strong expertise in international trade law, export controls, and economic sanctions.
- Experience with U.S., EU, and UK export licensing regulations.
- Knowledge of Restricted Party List (RPL) screening tools such as Refinitiv World-Check or Dow Jones RiskCenter.
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance legal compliance with commercial business objectives.
